COVID-19 Updates

Your family’s safety is our primary goal. We are following current recommendations and requirements set by the CDC and MIOSHA to keep our patients, staff and families free from infection. You may notice some changes at your child’s next appointment, as requirements are constantly evolving. These changes have been made to protect your families, and our staff. For example:

·Our reception room (for the time being) will not offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.

·Appointments will be managed to continue to allow for social distancing between patients and families. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.

·We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients, and parents, in the office at any one time.

·All touch points will be cleaned and disinfected frequently throughout the day.

·Plastic guards are in place at the reception and check-outs counters. We have also placed permanent partitions between our chairs in our open clinical area.

·We have installed air purification units throughout the office to improve our safety measures. These units remove 99.97% of allergens, bacteria, viruses, dust, smoke, etc.

Precautionary measures we are taking for, and during, your child’s dental appointment:

·All patients should call or text our office, through your appointment reminder, upon arrival to the office. Please remain in your car. We will review Covid exposure, and symptom, questions prior to you entering the office.  You may complete the patient appointment update from your vehicle, or on a computer in our consultation room (if you have not done so prior to arriving for your appointment(s)).  You will be notified when we are ready for you.

·For young children, one parent or guardian will be allowed to accompany each patient (2 parents or guardians per family). If possible, the patient should enter the office alone.  This is to reduce the number of people in our office at any one time to follow current social distancing measures.

·We are no longer requiring temperatures to be taken at the time of your child’s appointment.

·We ask that the accompanying parent or guardian (Vaccinated and Unvaccinated), and patient, continue to wear their face mask from home for the dental appointment. If you are unable, or do not have, we will provide masks as we are able to supply them.

·All team members will continue to complete pre-screening questions prior to beginning patient care each day. Staff will always be wearing a mask. Extra protective masks/face shields, and gowns may be used for any procedure that may produce an aerosol.

·Once we have completed the appointment, we will complete all insurance and billing needs, and schedule the next appointment, while maintaining social distancing requirements. If we are unable to do so, we may complete over the phone.

·We ask that you report any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 to our office within 14 days of your visit.

We look forward to seeing you again, and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and your family, safe. You may reach us at (517)337-0032 or visit our website at
