Brush Twice a Day

Drink Plenty of Water

One often overlooked oral hygiene technique is simply ensuring you drink plenty of water after eating. Drinking water directly after eating helps wash away food particles and bacteria left behind, which reduces your chances of developing cavities.

Monitor Sugar Consumption

While it may be difficult, especially during the time of year when temptation is seemingly everywhere, practicing self-control and moderating the amount of sugary foods you and your child indulge in is an important factor in you and your family’s oral health. Limiting sugar will, in the end, reduce the chances of plaque buildup and the development of cavities.
